Now for a little Silmarillion.  Here are the hardback first editions from 1977: Tolkien's drawing of the Misty Mountain pass from the Hobbit being used for the U.S. version, and the one with Tolkien's  Silmarillion heraldry devices for the UK version.  With them is the lovely 1983 edition from Houghton-Mifflin.  Thanks to Lee for the note about the Hobbit artwork.
