Where there's a Will there's an Adulas

Part 4

“This is the exact spot we found Will,” Prince Imrahil said while he walked over to a spot on the beach where there were no rocks and where there was a clear delineation between the wet and dry sand.

So I joined him there before I turned and slowly scanned the bay. And when my gaze was in line with where I stood I saw a faint shimmer in the air that was quite large and rectangular in shape which also was sticking up out of the bay about mid way out from the shore. “Legolas what do you see in that direction?” I asked my brother while I pointed towards the shimmering.

Now this caused everyone to look in that direction.

“I see something rectangular shimmering out there while it sticks up out of the water,” my brother replied which confirmed in my mind that what I was seeing was there.

“I don’t see anything,” Will said before looking at me with a puzzled expression.

“Me neither,” Aragorn added.

“The same goes for me. So what is it that you see?” Prince Imrahil asked.

“It’s the doorway that Will floated through from his time before he washed up onto the beach,” I replied.

“I wish I could remember why I was in the water,” Will said his brow furrowed as he tried to find the missing memory.

I smiled at him. “That’s alright Will. It really isn’t important. Right now we have to figure out how to get you back.”

Suddenly the imposing form of the Black Pearl slowly materialized out of thin air before our very eyes and came to a stop close to the shore. Fortunately it didn’t run a ground and someone on board the ship had the presence of mine to drop anchor to keep it from doing so.

Now this caused everyone but Will and me to take an involuntary step backward in surprise.

“Looks like we don’t have to figure out how to get you back now that your friends can give you a ride back home,” I said to the man with a big smile.

Then we watched the excited activity up on the deck on the port side of the ship as a small row boat was being rapidly lowered down into the water. Now this was followed by wooden rung ladder which an old man with a red parrot on his shoulder, Elizabeth, and Captain Jack Sparrow used to board the small boat. After that the old man soon had the boat heading towards the shore as fast as he could row.

“Adulas what is going on?” Prince Imrahil asked in a serious tone of voice.

“Will’s friends have come for him,” I said with a reassuring smile. Then I added just for his ears “Don’t worry. You’re not being invaded.”

Meanwhile Legolas had moved closer to me just as Elizabeth began to wave enthusiastically and call Will’s name. “Maybe you should step back now,” I heard his soft thought voice say. This time he sounded worried.

“Legolas what is going on? Why are you acting this way?” I thought back while I watched out of the corner of my eye as Elizabeth quickly climbed out of the small row boat and into Will’s arms after he had met it just as it ran a ground on the beach.

“I just feel very uncomfortable with all of this.”

“I admit that what is going on here is highly unusual. But there’s nothing to worry about.”

“I hope you’re right.”

“I know I am.”

“Still…”

“Legolas trust me on this!”

“I do. But it doesn’t hurt to be careful.”

“Alright I’ll be careful. Now stop worrying!”

“I can’t.”

“Why?”

“You’re my brother. Need I say more?”

I sighed. “You do know that you’re driving me crazy with this!”

“Yes and I’ll continue to do so until this strange situation you’re in is over.”
