What Happened to the Entwives? Challenge

The Entwives, a villanelle

The blossoms of spring and harvests of fall
Gardens and orchards sang a siren song
Where we have gone we will not tell at all
The settled and tilled lands, we heard their call
In the wild forests we did not stay long
The blossoms of spring and harvests of fall
While the ents loved the woods and the trees tall
Our love for sweet plants in straight rows was strong
Where we have gone we will not tell at all
n ages to come will men still recall
Entwives, to whom gardens first did belong
The blossoms of spring and harvests of fall
Our lands became brown and under a pall
We were lost even to tale and to song
Where we have gone we will not tell at all
When the seasons end for good and for all
Will Eru's fine flowers need us along
The blossoms of spring and harvests of fall
Where we have gone we will not tell at all
