The Fellowship of the Kindergarten

by White Rider

The story so far:

Our friends are heading south. Sauron, the Lord of the Rings (appearing only as a single baby's face wreathed in flame) has despatched the four Multi-coloured Riders, the Ringtubbies, to track down he who bears the One Teething Ring. Seeking safe passage, the Fellowship have entered the Mines of Moria (opening the door to the dwarf realm with the ancient password 'Open Sesame Street'). The tomb of Balin stands before them. Grumpy, son of Glóin, weeps.

Grumpy: No! Oh - no! No!

Gandalf: Here lies Bashful, son of Fundin, Lord of Moria. He is dead then. It is as I feared. (Gandalf gives Pippin his hat and staff)

Legolas (to Aragorn): We must move on. We cannot linger.

Gandalf: (reads) They have taken the bridge and the second hall. We have barred the gates but cannot hold them for long. The ground shakes. Drums, drums in the deep. We cannot get out. A shadow moves in the dark. We cannot get out. They are coming.

(Pippin touches a skeleton by a well, and it falls in, making a lot of noise)

Gandalf: Fool of a Took! Throw yourself in next time, and rid us of your stupidity.

(Drumming noises are heard. Frodo's sword glows blue)

Sam: (Sees the blue blade) Frodo!

Legolas: Muppets!

(Boromir runs to the door and two arrows narrowly miss his head)

Aragorn: (to the hobbits) Get back! Stay close to Gandalf! (They bar the doors)

Boromir: They have a Big Bird!

(They bar the doors, then stand facing them, their bows and swords out)

Grumpy: Let them come! There's one dwarf yet in Moria that still draws breath.

(The muppets come; they fight)
