The Faramir Matrix

looking at the board with all the posts about
Faramir (including my own) it is a bit like those scenes in The Matrix
with a thousands Mr Smiths (who also happens to be our own Elrond, Hugo
Weaving)converging on the hero all at once.
Only we have a thousand Faramirs. Just when
you think you have got him cornered and typed and assessed, another one
pops up, and another and another.....
'And so, Mr Anderson, you think you have me
programmed, with my oedipal hangup over my Dad and my sibling rivalry
hangup with my brother? I tell you now, Mr Anderson you are wrong wrong
wrong, you are about to be deleted if you cannot access and download
the Real Faramir Programme (virus-free and no orc pop-ups)
I must inform you, Mr Anderson that there is
a rogue programme running round your virtual brain, created by the
Oracle, otherwise known as Peter Jackson. This programme has created a
rival reality, a celluloid programme called Film Faramir. As you know,
Mr Anderson, the only true Faramir is the programme known as Book
Faramir, who gets lots of chapters denied to the rogue programme, but
protects itself from detection and destruction by creating additional
rogue programmes called Extended Editions, and even Collector's
Editions, and eventually Dirctor's Cuts.
After which, Mr Anderson, Faramirs will fill the virtual world, and you will never, ever be able to find the real one.....
Just kidding, Mr Anderson....
