The Setting: somewhere in Middle-earth where there is a battle about to be fought

I had strayed upon a stream so blue.
A maiden fair, in despair,
Lost in thought tarried there and she told me,

Tears revealed her mysteries.
"We once played amongst the trees of amber.
His spirit was wild, heart of a child, yet gentle still

Then she was gone. Her love had won.
