Into the West in Quenya

Translated by Anna Estel

OK, here is my latest attempt at translation. Here follows "Into the West" (or very nearly), in Quenya.

Hautea melda ar lumba carlya.
Lome lantea. Tullet na metta tieva.
Fuma si ar haryea olori pa i queni i tulle epe.
Yalante var arta i haya falas.

Manan narlya nyenye? Mana nar i niri antatyanna?
Rato cenuvalye ilya caurilya autuva oar.
Varna mi ranquinya, narlye er fuma.

Mana cenalye or i rena i ambar?
Manan care i losse maiwi yale?
Arta i ear marya isil ortea.
I ciryar tulle coluvalye mar.
Ar ilya ahyuva na telpe hyelle.
Calina or i nen, ilya fear auta.

Estel sintea mir i ambar lomeo.
Ter lomini lantea et sanwer vanwieon ar lume.
Ava quetuva tullemme si na i metta.
Losse falasi yale. Haryuvamme omentie ata.

Ar nauvalye mi ranquinya, er fuma.

Mana cenalye or i rena i ambar?
Manan care i losse maiwi yale?
Arta i ear marya isil ortea.
I ciryar tulle coluvalye mar.
Ar ilya ahyuva na telpe hyelle.
Calina or i nen,
Sinde ciryar auta mir i numen.

Of course there are a few of the usual diversions required by a limited vocabulary, but there it is!
