Rhyme for all of us

One Ararrat to rule them all
One search engine to find them
One link to bring them all
And in the message boards bind them
In the land of the internet
Where the fan club lies

Rhyme for the lovely ladies of the Fellowship Board

One elf to rule them all
One elf to blind them
One elf to bring them all
And in the drooling bind them
In the land of the Fellowship
Where the sponges lie

Rhyme for Rosie (and anyone else from Salt Lake City)

Five rings to rule them all
Five rings to find them
Five rings to bring them all
And in the Olympics bind them
In the land of Utah
Where the snows lie

One Ring to rule them all
One Ring to find them
One Ring to bring them all
And in the Darkness bind them . . .

A circle of friends
Who bicker and fight,
But they laugh at the darkness
And wait for the light.

They are human creations,
Though some of them claim
To be Hobbits, or Elvish,
Or "Doctors" . . . how LAME.

But they're bound in a ring
On this Middle-Earth board,
where they share their ideas;
Some despised, some adored.

They share of their joy,
And their love for a book
And they plot out a plan:
Some fresh Lembas to cook!

As the fellowship thrives
And the ring becomes tighter,
The magic becomes
That the circle grows wider!

And all ‘round the world
They cry to the powers
that be, "Must we wait
a whole YEAR for "Two Towers?!?"

And we'll argue and fuss,
We'll rant and we'll rave.
And we'll go WAY off topic
With, "Who is your Fave?"

Oh my God, it has happened,
All the They've became We've!
Who can say, if old Gandalf
This spell did conceive?

But it's "One Ring to rule them all
One Ring to find them
One Ring to bring them all
And Tolkien's works that binds them.

On the Middle Earth board
Where the friendship lies . . .

A lil' Baggins and a Prim
Sat alone as the bar grew dim,
The daylight's gone, the night we see-
Does this mean the drinks are free?

Oh where oh where have the others gone?
They cannot all fit in the john...
So Prim and Baggins tell bad jokes,
While waiting for the other folks.

There once was a gal named 'Rosie,'
A normal gal was she,
She loved to post on the Message Board,
Thinkin all was fine and Dandee.

One day she let out a secret,
Her heart was 'split' you can see,
She realy adored her husband,
But her 12 yr old side loves Sam Gamgee.

Two ladies named ToElf and lightpoet
Caught onto this in a flash,
They took Rosies Sams 'PANS' comments,
Wildly posting SAMS PANTS!!...aghast!!

This Sams Pants has caused some confusion,
in an innocent newbie fan boys mind,
Not realizing shes not the young Rosie,
But a married mom, not "quite a find."

But after some cosideration,
of Sams PANTS, (the *American* type)
As long as you don't tell her hubby,
She'll lay awake thinkin of them tonight!!

If Sean A. ever hears of this poem,
He'll think she's a nut case.. for sure!
But for now Rosie will put up with the teasing
Because she can't resist that hobbits allure!!!

There once was a Pointy Eared Took
Who wrote funny rhymes with a hook
I credit 'Lord of the Rings'
For the laughter that she brings
When she threatened to flame Legolas
My foot twitched to kick her in the ***
But she ultimately won my approval
By saying that Legolas is very drool-able
She proved the pen is mightier than the sword
So 'Hurray!' for the PET of the Boards

Master Frodo shouldn't talk about Sams Pants,
He *IS* still a minor 'of course',
But Rosie will happily forgive him,
If he'll invite her over to ride a horse!!!

The fans have all gone insane
No pointing fingers to blame
they filled all the boards
with verses and odes
Oh watch this is Merka's bane.

The One Ring should only be mine
I'd rule over the board in no time
No Pointy-Ear-Took
to eclipse all my jook
Oh this is Merka's time to shine

Oh won't you please move over Redbeard
the Queen of Limmericks is here
with the Ring on her hand
the board is her land
oh just wait there's more to be seen

Well hello there Miss To Elf
you know I have something to tell
your time is now gone
they should all sing my song
oopss sorry look your Orli just fell

Oh Roise you fit in my list
won't let you take all of my glit
don't think about pans
I've got other plans
my torch of power has been lit

Now lightpoet this one is for you
Don't worry you'll be out soon
I'm the Lady of the board
yes I'm real I'm no fraud
Lady merka's here ready to rule

The board and the Ring are now mine
let's celebrate now with some wine
oh feel all my power
this is Merka's hour
her rule is just in its prime

What are all those flying things?
one just hit my head with a Ding!
oh no I'm dethroned
I should have had a clone
they've reconquered the board in a Bling!

Perhaps to dream of snarky meatphors and wizard potheads
It's been fun listening to your questions, comments, and rants
(Not to mention the odd comment about Rosie and Sam's Pants!)
And the Pointy-Eared Took and Redbeard making me look bad
On the Fellowship board with their poems- poems I should have had
It's been swell, it's been fun; it's never been greater
(And hopefully I won't have to pay for therapy later!)

Alas, poor Viggo-I liked him, guys
I thought his acting was pretty good
But there's no room for him in a board
Filled with Orli and Elijah Wood

No place in a world obsessed with "Those Eyes!"
And frenetic about Sean Astin's pants
And whether Dom or Billy is hotter...
It's just bad luck or chance.

Viggo, ignore those droolers!
No matter how bad it may seem...
You have ONE fan, who won't be swooning
But can still dream a dream.

Nobody even read the poem

She walks in beauty, like an Elf
So fair of face and word
The birds of the sky flock to her voice
Sweeter singing they have never heard

She graces all the lives she touches
And spreads joy throughout the world
So, I say, Happy Birthday, lovely friend!

Though they seem quite uncontrolled
They all do their own thing.

In Middle Earth there dwell the authors,
Who revel in both the story and the prose.
The Fellowship has several droolers and howlers,
All protective of their actor (As many too well know.)
In Rivendell, whatever your quandry(s)
Of membership(s), it will be answered
In Bag End plan your un-Hobbitish journey
On a "sick day" LotR adventure.
The Prancing Pony, well, I'm forced to say
No matter what goes on, it grows stranger every day!
