Beauty Unearthed

Such a feeling cannot be real
I never knew it could be
Her beauty blinds my weary eyes
I wish to reach out my weathered hand
and stroke the golden glory of her hair
I want to lay my cracked lips
against her soft cheek
whisper in her ear
My beard tickling its delicate cusp
Tell her everything
How I've come to believe
That she is more beautiful
than any jewel I have ever unearthed.
