Udun's Fire

Evil Balrogs, Udun’s fire
Strived to meet their lord’s desire.
Elves and Maia fought their flame,
Preceding he whom we don’t name.

Few are left that serve the Dark,
Yet those before have left their mark,
Evil wrought throughout the north
Up from darkness, burning forth.

These demi-gods slayed many elves,
Men and dwarves who deeply delved
They learned their fate in Vala Hall
Of Mandos’ heavy-handed law.

None now know if they still live,
Here also ends my narrative,
Of Balrogs whom most all once feared
That fought with flames, in yesteryear.
