The Shadow of evil rises yet again,
And a hobbit is left to bear
All the burdens contained in a ring
In a journey from here to there.
Despite the fate of his lonesome task.
Eight others join his side.
But knowing that this will only bring death,
He leaves all but one behind.
He embarks on a path long forgotten to most,
Leaving his group, in fear.
And with a weight ten times his heart,
He braves the evil, too near.
These troubles he carries are not his own;
Bestowed upon him—he is cursed.
Though doomed to die, he continues on.
Bound by a promise, immersed.
