The Rise and Fall of Boromir

O Boromir
Who bravely fought
to save the land he loves.
Where white towers
and banners rise
to meet the one reproachful eye.

And whisperings
from there afar
"O Boromir"
the echos call

Isildur's Bane
he sought for good.
Honor was his only thought.
To replace hope
for a father's despair
and understood not the evil's snare.

And whisperings
from there afar
"O Boromir"
the echos call

On battlefields
in native lands,
in forests far beyond.
With sword in hand
and sheild in arm
he fought to keep them safe from harm

And whisperings
from there afar
"O Boromir"
the echos call

And distantly
the sound was heard,
the "horn of Gondor" calls.
But as they gathered
to his need
Alas! they found him on his knees.

And whisperings
from there afar
"O Boromir"
the echos call

A lifeless body adorned
with shield and sword and broken horn.
The water bore the soldier fair
upon roaring falls he went.
And evermore the horn will sound
in hearts of friends he will be found.

And whisperings
from there afar
"O Boromir"
the echos call.
