Age of the Sun

- Lothithil

I remember when the dark was fearless
Equable night where no shadows bred
And all the trees and living things
Were unchanging, constant
Stars hung in treetops, orchards of light
In open fields, a dome of jewels; gifts for the eyes
Breathless and timeless beauty

Shining silver Isil rose, sometimes a descending star
Sometimes a hazy cradle
With his face turned toward the West
Or rising in the East with his arms open to embrace us
How we trembled in delight to see what was revealed in his white light

Arien came to us then and the world was utterly changed
The darkness deepened and all things awakened
And we stood in awe and fear to see her glory rise
