Bound in armor

glistening gold.

Eyes sharp and steady

as the shafts he

sped at the enemy below.



He glowed in the dark rain

fierce as fire

he flared!



Battle raged, blood flowed,

foe and friend fell

all around him.

Sword sweeping

Oh! So bright

and deadly.



Then this immortal light

-A shooting star’s

final nova

in the midnight’s firmament...



Fell to a cold earth.

A friend’s tears

mix with blood.
