A Ranger's Past

- Lady Mystic

Darkness creeps and shadows call,

Moonlight sweeps and saves the souls of the weak and timid.

But one stirs in the forest here and there,

Saying no word, and moving quickly.

He keeps to himself,

Going wherever he had please.

His black cloak stirring with the gentle breeze,

The cold air sweeping his hair from his face.

Love has broken the ways of living,

It has torn hearts astray from their loved ones.

The problems facing them make their decisions,

And create the pathways of the road ahead.

A white glint shimmers with the moonlight,

And it comes from the neck of the silent Ranger.

From his strong, bold neck sits the jewel of the Evenstar.

Shining with protectiveness and love.
