A Poem for Frodo

 
Young Frodo’s task
At last is done
He shall return
To where he’s from

But in this place
He cannot stay
His heart is heavy
His soul is weighed

The emptiness
He know so well
Will be his end
His Sam can tell

The ring is gone
There’s nothing more
To fill his life
On this shore

He’ll take his leave
Away from home
He’ll say good-bye
To all he’s known

His fate now lies
Across the sea
In Valinor
He will be free
