No One for Me

Frodo watches Sam and Rosie

No one for me
The thought enters my mind
As I watch them kiss and smile.
A subtle thought to remind.
A choice I made
And yet not so-
I never gave it much
Thought, although
In the back of my mind
I suppose I thought
There was still someone for me.
But now I see there's not.
They seem so content
It almost makes me wish
That I could go back.
But that would be foolish-
For I know now
It was not meant to be.
No matter how hard I would look
There would still be no one for me.
