A short poem of promise.
Why I go?
I’d travel with him anywhere,
Through dragon’s cave or wolfish lair.
He is my master and my friend,
And I will see him through the end.
Though I am not the wisest sage,
I’ll be some help to him I’ll wage.
Bind my feet and hands with cord,
But that won’t keep me from my word.
A promise is a promise you know,
So ask me no more why I go.
