Haldir at Helm's Deep

- The Foe Hammer 

They came in service not for themselves,
but for a new alliance of men and elves.

Why he came? Only he knows.
With heroes thats the way it goes.

Did he make a difference, making his stand,
an elvish captain in a human land?

He held them back, there on that wall,
up until his tragic fall.

Though some saw him as not so nice,
he touched us all through sacrifice.

So remember Haldir at Helm's Deep,
the brave elf captain for whom we weep.

He kindled in some a burning flame,
that time will hopefully light again.
