The War of the Ring

Ok... here goes: Yesterday, my mum was cleaning out her room, and found a somewhat tattered scrap of paper, on which were written the immortal lines which constituted my very first attempt at LotR poetry! I wrote it not long after I first read LotR, so I must have been 7 or 8 at most. I post it here, because it's either incredibly funny, or incredibly awful, depending on your point of view. To this end, I have left the original spelling and punctuation entirely unaltered. Oh... and for full effect, this should be sung to the tune of that great, classic ballad: Snoopy's Christmas.
(Proceed, gentle reader, at your own peril...)

The War of the Ring

"The fighting broke out in the great ring war
The deathly Nazukiu (??! ) were flying once more
The lord Denathor ignored all of his men
And comanded his people to do it agian
They kindled and lit a great fire about
but Beregond stoped them for he was in doubt
so pipin told gandalf the white and he came
and told them to stop that most terrible flame
But Denathor cried I'am not finshed yet
I'll go to my death where I'll have my peace yet
While down in the city Logolas and Gimli fought
Many were slain and Many were caught
Then the Lord Aragorn and the Dunnidain came
And none of that army was ever slain
Then the Rohurim came in the nick of time
Merry and Eowyn fought Lord of the nine.
While Frodo and samwise were on their quest
Each knew in their heart the'd do their best
The ring was lost in the cracks of doom
but deathly crys arose to soon
Frodo was certian that this was the end
When the gold Egals came - don't despair yet my freind!"
