The Forgotten Prince

A forgotten prince there was of old,
Mortal wise and elven fair.
His eyes were grey as the sea he loved,
And like jet was his raven hair.

A forgotten prince of a distant land,
Of Dol Amroth beside the sea,
And in the sea wind, his banner blew,
A swan sailing noble and free.

A forgotten prince clad in silver and blue,
With a banner proudly displayed,
As he rode to defend the white city,
With his knights all in silver arrayed.

A forgotten prince who rode to the aid
Of a city held in thrall,
To a lord despairing, and a shadow grown,
It's defences ready to fall.

A forgotten prince who led the charge,
With the gallant swan on his shield.
And saved the life of the steward's son,
Found on the stricken field.

A forgotten prince, so the tales say,
Took command in the last defence.
And saved the life of the golden maid
When she bannished the morgul-lord hence.

A forgotten prince there was of old,
Mortal wise and elven fair.
His eyes were grey as the sea he loved,
And like jet was his raven hair.
