Entering Lothlorien

As I walk into the light
My heart and soul darkens
Though my mind, in peace, and
Sorrow fills every limb

As I stare upon the beauty
with unseeing eyes
I think of what has come to pass
And it tugs at the corners
of all my thoughts

The last endless seconds
as darkness took him away
engraved not in stone, but in memory
The pain is still so near.
