Delicate Blooms

A Woodland Elf Poem

Delicate Blooms

Delicate blooms in subtle hues
Grace the boughs of my woodland home
A sign that spring has been at work
The bare of winter is now clothed.

So under this sweet roof I roam
My step light on the path made green
By the gentle touch of spring’s hand
The brown of winter is now shed.

Delicate blooms in subtle hues
Entice me with their fair fragrance
To follow spring and watch her work
The cold of winter is now done.
