Ode to Uncle Bilbo (Ian Holm..that is)

Oh what a stroke of brillance
that caused Peter Jackson to say
'Lets get the old chap Ian
To hand the One Ring away.'

The original Frodo's a cool guy
all grumpy and full of gruff
But to play my old Uncle Bilbo
He sure had the right stuff.

I hear his voice when I'm reading
its as if his voice is in my head
His songs full of joy and pain
will forever sing me to bed.

Now I will miss him when he goes
and sails on the boat once agan
and tears of sorrow will flow
for that dear small Hobbiton man.
