The Sable Banner
- Daisy Gold
A Byr A Thoddaid poem
Within a high and sunlit room,
a weaver sits before her loom,
In skillful hands the shuttles fly and sing
of kings, as days flow by.
Yarns of hope, threads of dreams, of fate combine,
twine. A new weave awaits.
Behold! Cloth black as darkest night,
adorn with royal emblems bright.
A white tree jewelled flowers bore,
and seven stars above it soar,
A shining crown of mithril will proclaim,
the name of Elendil.
When battles rage, when hearts fail and despair,
Fair this banner shall stand.
A symbol of courage and pride
where brave men of Gondor abide.
