Wooden Tears

- On'ono Laivindur
Haroommm

To long and for many ages now
the fires have burned
the ax has hacked
no longer shall we endure the pain
the Ents and Trees this time must act

Haroommm

We hear the call to war and move
slowly at first from the ground detach
Treebeard summoned and we obey
no foe in Middle-Earth is our match
with vengence now we walk and sway

Haroommm

Orcs or men, none we will spare
our friends the birds take to the air
they see ahead our foes that wait
beneath the ground will be their fate
two ages long, measures our hate

Haroommm

When this war is over soon
we trees shall return to hill and glen
never again shall we move
on account of the ignorance of men
but remain the forest and the grove

Haroommm

Trees are to be a place of peace
a giver of shade, a place to nest
a place for play, a lovers rest
We hope that as long as sap shall flow
No more wooden tears down bark will go
