interesting "leaf-trees" for the Hobbit - hard to say what the artist
had in mind unless it's Lonely Mountain? Or a very tall Bag End?
The middle is a 2001 Houghton-Mifflin issue with artist Peter Sis
giving a sort of "patchwork" of simplified
vignettes from the tale. The last is some Czech Hobbit artwork, a
fold-out of the 'unexpected party,' and with it (smaller) the front
cover of the issue it came from. Thanks to Narquelie for identifying this odd piece, and finding the cover.
